GPU for Airport Ramp & Hangar | Electric GPU for Smarter, Greener Ground Support
All-electric GPU
AEME GSE has over 20 years of experience in ground support equipment. From the very beginning, we have focused on advancing electric GPUs and helping airports move toward electrified ground operations. Today, thousands of AEME units, including battery GPUs, solid state ground power units, and electric cable reels, are delivering reliable, high quality power at airports around the world, supporting our partners in ground operations.
1.MRO Services
S400-V Fixed Solid-State GPU, Larnaca, Cyprus
90kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
In aircraft hangars, a steady power supply is essential for smooth maintenance work. That is why our MRO partners using our S Power series count on it for stable power output.
With LVRTech(low voltage ride through technology), the S Power system keeps delivering high quality power even during short voltage dips. In addition, both fixed and mobile configurations offer greater flexibility and convenience across different hangar and ground support scenarios.
2.MRO Services
S400-M Mobile Solid-State GPU, Incheon, South Korea
90kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
AEME GSE S400-M Mobile GPU is now operational at the Incheon hangar, providing reliable power to aircraft. With a towable trailer, the S400-M is easy to move and deploy in various scenarios. The control box with touchscreen allows simple operation and real-time monitoring of power status.
3.Hainan Airlines
ECOTUG 180 Battery eGPU, Beijing, China
180kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
AEME GSE's ECOTUG 180 eGPU supported Hainan Airlines's A330neo throughout its inaugural tour operations.
The ECOTUG series is contributing to airport electrification across multiple locations. It is powered by CATL's latest battery technology, offering higher energy density and improved environmental adaptability. It also integrates AEME's S400 GPU as a power conversion module, enabling more efficient and reliable performance across diverse ground operation scenarios.
4.China Eastern Airlines
S400-M Mobile Solid-State GPU, Nanchang, China
90kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
S400-M in China Eastern Airlines hangar, delivering stable power output for its regional aircraft. Its trailer-mounted design makes deployment across different scenarios fast and flexible.
5.Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport
S400-A Bridge-Mounted GPU, Hangzhou, China
90kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
S400-A in Hangzhou International Airport, delivering stable power output for its regional aircraft.
6.Hohhot Shengle International Airport
S400-A Bridge-Mounted GPU, Hohhot, China
90kVa, 400Hz, 115/200Vac
At the newly completed International Airport, over 100 AEME S400-A bridge-mounted GPUs have been deployed across all stands to provide reliable aircraft power supply.
The latest S400-A will be equipped with a 28 m automatic cable reeling system, improving operational flexibility. It can be installed under boarding bridges or used as a mobile unit, making it suitable for both contact and remote stands.
7.Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport
Green Airport Solution
Ground Power Unit, Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Chengdu, China
As in many other scenarios, airports are at a critical crossroads in the energy transition, facing challenges such as limited existing infrastructure and the high cost of retrofitting. Rising energy demand and the need for electrification and green energy integration call for a more intelligent approach to power supply.
At Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, AEME GSE's PV-plus-storage Green Airport solution integrates solar generation, battery storage, and all-electric GPUs. The system enables on-site renewable energy utilization, reducing reliance on the grid and lowering electricity costs.
From 2017 to 2024, the project has achieved €1.67 million in cost savings, reduced aviation fuel consumption by 20,100 tons, and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 63,000 tons.
8.Dalian International Airport
M45D Motorized Cable Reel, Dalian, China
The northern port city of Dalian experiences winter temperatures as low as -15°C, with frequent snowfall. Amid these freezing conditions, AEME GSE's M45D Motorized Cable Reel is operating at Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, ensuring reliable ground power supply and supporting on-time aircraft departures.
What we have shown here represents only a small selection of our product applications. Across different ground operational contexts, AEME GSE continues to focus on delivering high-quality, practical system designs tailored to real operational needs.
