Airmo Inc.® Pressure Technologies

Celebrating their 75th anniversary

Airmo Inc.® is a manufacturer of TestMaster® Hydrostatic Testing Tools.

The tools come in many different models and are manufactured for specific pressure ratings, dimensions, service mediums and gripping methods. The patented tools provide fast, snap-on coupling, and positive sealing of tubes, tube assemblies, valves, cylinders, and systems. The hydraulic sealing mechanisms along with the safety pre-grip assures a constant, positive grip during any work or operation cycle without post-test marking. Hydrostatic Testing Tools come in hand-held and machine mounted models. The testing tools, depending on the model, can be used with a variety of services including gas, water, oil, or other liquids on request up to 40,000 psi (2,758 bar).

The most important usage of these tools to aerospace manufacturers is to test hydraulic and pneumatic tubing and assemblies during the production or maintenance of an aircraft or space vehicle. Whether it’s a fuel line assembly, cooling lines, hydraulic tubing for control systems and actuators, or other high-pressure tubing assembles, Airmo’s TestMaster® hand-held hydrostatic testing tools make it very easy for production, or maintenance technicians to pressurize and test segments of an assembly with gas, or liquid service mediums as it is being constructed. The patented virtually non-marring gripping technology of the TestMaster® hydrostatic testing tools, assures safe pressurization up to 40,000 psi (2,758 bar) without damaging the tubing. Several of their customers have multiple hand-held testing tools in a variety of tube diameters and service medium capabilities to pressure test different sized tubing used throughout the aircraft. Airmo feels there really is no safer, or efficient way to do this in an aircraft production environment.

This year marks their 75th anniversary and they would like to invite interested aerospace manufacturers to view their website at www.airmo.com to learn more about their products and services and get a better understanding of how they have been a trusted provider to the aerospace industry for 75 years.
