4D_Additive from CoreTechnologie integrates the HP Direct Connector (HP certified) in its new version 1.3
- HP Direct Connector, the expert control console for managing the entire printing process
The HP Direct Connector is a CoreTechnologie-developed, HP-certified connector integrated into 4D_Additive that sends slicing data directly to HP printers without intermediaries. It is very useful in informing the user about the progress of the print job, the level of supply and offers a direct connection from 4D_Additive to the HP machine pool.
From preparation to printing, all these steps are directly and intelligently managed in a single program. The automatic connection to several servers allows remote printing.
From September 2021, this same interface will be deployed for Photocentric machines.
- Substance® by Adobe textures for use on triangulated models
The 5,000 texture materials, as well as logos, text, QR codes and incremental identifiers, are now applicable on triangulated models in addition to the exact ones.
- IA Nesting Pack & Spread: heat distribution management via propagation calculation
New nesting functionality for heat zones, very useful for powder bed machines. Version 1.3 uses AI algorithms to selectively fill gaps on the platen and homogenise the material distribution between the different layers.
- Customize Parameters option pack
This tool allows you to customise and control the packing parameters for each model. Locks the Z-axis individually and prevents interleaving.
- Duplicate - duplicating models
The Duplicate function uses a voxel representation to optimise the nesting density of duplicated models on the printing plate.
- New interfaces
3MF, OBJ, FBX: import of texture information.
3MF Export: read and write colour management.
3MF: general improvement of the format (import and export) in compliance with the format specifications (calculation of the slice and taking into account the "Production" extension).
- Model tree
Addition of the Workflow section to validate the work in progress.
- Modelling / Cocoon tool
This new tool allows the creation of an enveloping shape around the model in order to print an impression (mould). This feature has been specifically developed for medical and dental applications.

Database with over 200 material entries.
Integration of Photocentric and dp polar machines.
