Baker Hughes Lands New Druck Pressure Measurement Product for Aerospace
Druck, a Baker Hughes business and industry leader in pressure measurement technology and instrumentation, announced today the launch of the Druck NG3000 Pressure Sensors, a new generation of pressure sensors designed for the aerospace sector.
“Leveraging our strong aerospace heritage, the Druck NG3000 Pressure Sensor reflects decades of successful customer collaboration and development,”
Baker Hughes’ Druck “Next Generation” NG3000 Pressure Sensors, which retain the highest levels of accuracy and reliability associated with Druck technology, have been intricately designed using the latest design tools to empower customers with online configuration capability, removing the cost and time of manufacturing bespoke sensor solutions. Customers can now configure Druck NG3000 Pressure Sensors to suit their operating parameters.
“Leveraging our strong aerospace heritage, the Druck NG3000 Pressure Sensor reflects decades of successful customer collaboration and development,” said Gordon Docherty, vice president at Druck, a Baker Hughes business. “I’m proud that, in a sector where most customers require bespoke pressure measurement technology, we have pushed the boundaries of innovation and brought to market new technology that embraces customization while simultaneously improving efficiency and driving cost out.”
Druck’s NG3000 platform has been designed and improved based on the legacy PMP/PTX 3000 series, which has been a staple of many aerospace programmes globally for more than 20 years. The full range of solutions have been stringently tested and qualified to the latest RTCA DO-160G/MIL levels to ensure performance in harsh aerospace environments.
With some 500,000 sensors already in operation to help control aircraft flight direction, fuel systems, hydraulics, cabin air pressure, the oiling system for the engine and many other applications, Baker Hughes’ Druck product line is a leading provider of pressure measurement technology in the aerospace sector.
Founded in in 1972 in Leicester, U.K., Druck is today part of Baker Hughes’ Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) Precision Sensing & Instrumentation portfolio and has grown into a global leader for pressure measurement supporting customers in more than 70 countries across a wide range of applications.
The Druck NG3000 Pressure Sensors will be on display at the Paris Airshow (June 19-25) at Druck’s booth, Hall 4, stand F-3.
