40 years ago, Druck unveiled their latest technological solution

Throwback to 40 years ago today…

On the 9th of October 1985, Druck unveiled their latest technological solution. By combining the standard Druck pressure controllers DPI500 and DPI501 with a computer, all mounted with necessary equipment in a wheeled trolley, the Druck team successfully provided their customer, British Aerospace, with a means of calibrating all the instruments in an aircraft cockpit. Of course, this innovation was the forerunner to Druck’s class leading Air Data Test Sets, which are manufactured at our Leicester, UK site.

The system allowed the aircraft operator the highest precision of pressure generation at the aircraft. At a time when instruments had to be removed from the cockpit for checking, they could now be calibrated without the hassle of moving parts around.
