At Gandhi Automations Pvt Ltd, we are proud to unveil our bespoke Aircraft Sliding Hangar Door project for a premier aviation complex at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai. Designed to support high-frequency aircraft maintenance operations, this door exemplifies our engineering excellence and deep understanding of complex aviation infrastructure requirements.

Measuring 70,000 mm in width and 14,000 mm in height, the door is built with a multi-directional configuration, allowing each leaf to glide independently along four bottom tracks. This level of flexibility enables full or partial openings—optimizing door usage to suit aircraft positioning and workflow needs.

To accommodate aircraft with high tail sections, the solution features a precision-integrated tail gate equipped with a rolling shutter. This allows vertical clearance for tall empennages without compromising the security or environmental seal of the hangar. For day-to-day operational ease and safe personnel movement, dedicated pedestrian doors have been incorporated—eliminating the need to operate the main door for routine access.

Unlike conventional hangar doors, this door features PUF-insulated cladding, which provides enhanced thermal and sound insulation—creating a quieter, temperature-stable interior that supports comfortable and energy-efficient operations.

Safety has been a top priority throughout the build. The hangar door is equipped with advanced safety systems, including safety edges, sensor-based obstruction detection, and alarm systems, ensuring protection for both personnel and equipment during door operation.
