Thanks to the innovative '99.9' treatment, the leather is self-cleaning, antiviral and antibacterial. Mercury 99.9 is synonymous with robustness as well as elegance and sustainability. The collection is offered in 36 refined colours and the feel is soft and silky. Furthermore, it is a Carbon Neutral Scope 1 and Scope 2 product with respect to direct and indirect emissions and has no negative impact on global warming.
Gruppo Mastrotto has in fact succeeded, for all 1.500 products offered through the prompt-delivery leather service ‘Gruppo Mastrotto Express’, in offsetting both Scope 1 emissions – those generated directly by assets owned by the company or assets that the company controls operationally – and Scope 2 emissions which include emissions indirectly generated through the type of energy used.
Gruppo Mastrotto is the first tannery in the world to have obtained for its leathers the U.S.D.A. (United States Department of Agriculture) Biobased certification, issued by the United States Department of Agriculture, which attests to the percentage of bio-renewable material present in a product.
Gruppo Mastrotto leathers have a very high renewable content of up to 95%.
Mercury 99.9 leathers are of European origin and tanned to meet FAA flammability specifications, with through-dyeing. The average surface area of each hide ranges from 4.8 to 5.0 m².
