IMAT SUPPLIES 2,800 SEATS TO JEDDAH AIRPORT (SAUDI ARABIA)
First airport project carried out by IMAT in Saudi Arabia
IMAT has been selected to supply approximately 2,800 airport seats for the refurbishment of the South Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, the most important airport in Saudi Arabia and one of the main hubs in the Middle East.
KAIA handles more than 53.4 million passengers and over 310,000 flights annually, making this infrastructure an extremely demanding operational environment. These figures highlight the need for airport seats designed to withstand intensive use, ensuring strength, comfort and durability.
Although IMAT has previously participated in major projects in Saudi Arabia, such as railway stations, the seaport of Jeddah and various universities, this project represents the company's first involvement in an airport in the country, in line with its specialisation in airport seating. In the Middle East, IMAT has already supplied airport seating to other key terminals, including Dubai, Kuwait, Doha, etc.
The volume of the supply and the importance of King Abdulaziz International Airport reinforce IMAT's position as a leading international supplier of airport seating solutions for high-traffic infrastructure.
