PASSENGER TERMINAL EXPO 2026: MATREX showcases its BHS solutions
MATREX confirms its participation in PASSENGER TERMINAL EXPO 2026
As airport hubs face increasing pressure to combine operational efficiency, security and passenger flow optimisation, the evolution of baggage handling systems (BHS) has become a major strategic challenge.
As a designer and manufacturer of baggage handling systems, MATREX confirms its participation in PASSENGER TERMINAL EXPO 2026, supporting airport operators, planners and designers in their projects to modernise and optimise BHS infrastructures.
PASSENGER TERMINAL EXPO has established itself as a key international event for airport engineering and operations professionals. The exhibition provides an opportunity to address critical operational challenges, including capacity management and performance of BHS, regulatory compliance and aviation security, with a strong focus on ECAC Standard 3, infrastructure flexibility and scalability to support continued passenger flow.
For the 2026 edition, MATREX adopts a highly technical and practical approach by presenting a 3D‑printed model illustrating the baggage handling at departure area.
This model provides an immediate and clear visualisation of baggage flows and interactions between subsystems, facilitating understanding of complex system architectures. It serves as a decision‑support tool during the design, manufacturing, expansion and modernisation phases of BHS projects, particularly for control configurations that comply with Standard 3.
