The Memphis City Council has approved the reappointment of Michael Keeney to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) Board of Commissioners. Keeney, who was nominated by Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell Jr., has served on the MSCAA board since July 2015.
Keeney’s term will expire on Dec. 31, 2023.
Keeney is the managing shareholder at the Memphis office of Lewis Thomason Law Firm. He has practiced law since 1993. Keeney is a 1992 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, TN, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Lambuth College in Jackson, TN, in 1988.
An active community volunteer, Keeney currently serves on the board of directors for Orgill, Inc. and is a member of the Chairman’s Circle for the Greater Memphis Chamber. He also serves on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Memphis, Dixon Gallery and Gardens, and BankTennessee. He is also president of the University Neighborhood Development Corporation.
“Michael has been an effective member of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. His experience and leadership have been valuable to the board. I strongly recommend his reappointment,” said Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell.
