Travelers Score with New Edmonton Eskimos Sports Bar by HMSHost at Edmonton International Airport

Ready, set, eat – Edmonton Eskimos Sports Bar, an exclusive new full-service dining venue by HMSHost is now open at Edmonton International Airport’s Domestic-International Departures Lounge. Throughout the Edmonton Eskimos Sports Bar, adorned in the team’s green and gold colours, the fourteen-time Grey Cup champions memorabilia is on full-display, along with murals that showcase the Eskimos seasons. Travelling fans are never far from the action on the gridiron as large televisions are found throughout the restaurant where guests can gather to take in the game while relaxing with a drink from a broad selection of beers, wine, and crafty cocktails such as the Grey Cup with Grey Goose vodka, dry vermouth, green olives, and a lemon twist, and the Green Gimlet with Hendrick’s Gin, simple syrup, cucumber water, cucumber wheel, and lime.

While dining on Edmonton Eskimos Sports Bar’s food and drinks, travellers can relax by the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the apron for perfect plane spotting. On the menu line-up, guests can choose from all-day dining options that won’t leave them sitting on the sidelines. The restaurant features appetizers that are a nod to game-day favourites like the Green & Gold Nachos and Championship Wings.

On those cold Alberta days, warm up with the Gameday Chilli featuring chunks of ancho infused beef, sour cream, green onions, and garlic bread. Enjoy other favourites such as the Smoked Ribs, Lobster Roll, and the Kickoff Salad that includes bacon, chicken, blue cheese, and tomato accompanied with avocado dressing.

For travellers with early morning flights, the Edmonton Eskimos Sports Bar has you covered so you can kick your day off straight through the uprights. Start the day with a variety of options like the Green and Gold Omelette – a three egg omelette with smoked cheddar, provolone, and potatoes – or go for the Coaches’ Parfait of Greek yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, and maple syrup.

For ultimate convenience, there is a dedicated to-go area perfect for travellers with tighter timeframes to conveniently pick up a juice, soda, or water on the way to their flight.
