Sandvik presents tubular products at Paris Air Show

Sandvik Materials is exhibiting at The International Paris Air Show, where it will showcase its range of safer, lighter and stronger materials used by OEMs for fuel lines, hydraulic lines and instrumentation systems, pressure gauging and other applications.

Christophe Alhinc, division director, Sandvik, said: “Security and reliability of the material is always a first consideration for our customers in aerospace. We are seeing growing requirements from OEMs for safer, lighter and stronger materials.”

Visitors to Stand E94 in Hall 4 at The International Paris Air Show will have an opportunity to discuss Sandvik’s portfolio which includes enhanced stainless steel and titanium tubing products, structural components, composites and machining solutions.

Technical and quality manager Toni Gonzalez said: “Sandvik helps our customers achieve greater material reliability in aircraft applications through the enhanced mechanical, corrosion resistance, toughness and technical inspection methods of our high precision tubes. This is a contribution to achieve tangible results such as reduced fuel consumption, flawless operation under higher pressures, and cost reductions through smarter designs.”

Also represented will be Sanicro 60 (commonly known as Alloy 625) for hydraulic and instrumentation (H&I) tubing. Suited for high temperature aerospace applications, the seamless nickel-chromium alloy tube is supplied bright annealed and available in seamless pipe and also as H&I tubing, heat exchanger tubes and high temperature tubes.

Sandvik will also take the opportunity to discuss how visitors can benefit from Sandvik’s partnership and expertise. The manufacturer has been working with leading engineering companies in aerospace for more than 50 years, and operates three specialised tube mills in Europe and the US with key aerospace certifications either received or underway at all of the mills.
