First newly-designed Senator Lounge opens at Vienna airport

The first newly-designed Senator Lounge has opened at Vienna International Airport in Austria, showcasing the Austrian Airlines’ updated design concept which has two main themes –the country of Austria and individuality.

The lounge features real Austrian beech trees in the closed area, which are preserved using a special preservation technique, as well as customized furniture and a new textile concept highlighting individually designed carpets and curtains. The lounge also features selected cut-outs from pictures created by Austrian artists such as Gustav Klimt.

All three business class lounges and both Senator Lounges will be renovated at the airport, and work is to be completed in the spring of 2018.
