Birmingham Airport joins travel management trade body GTMC

The GTMC, a trade body for travel management companies (TMCs) in the UK, has welcomed Birmingham Airport in the West Midlands as its latest industry partner.

Birmingham Airport will become the first UK airport outside London to join the trade association whose members account for over 90% of UK expenditure on managed business travel.

The GTMC has a long history of campaigning to boost regional air capacity to meet business demand and ensure the UK maintains its place as the gateway to Europe.

Adrian Parkes, chief executive, GTMC, said, “Given the clear correlation between air connectivity and economic growth, we are therefore delighted to introduce Birmingham Airport to our high-profile group of industry partners. We look forward to our combined force strengthening our calls for greater investment in the UK’s transport infrastructure to further enable international business travel.
