Qantas opens international passenger lounge at London Heathrow T3

Australian airline Qantas has opened its new dedicated passenger lounge in Terminal 3 (T3) at London Heathrow Airport.

Designed in collaboration with Woods Bagot’s London and Sydney studios, the Qantas London Lounge reflects distinct elements of the city including its rich tapestry of buildings, history and culture, helping to provide customers with a sense of place.

A neutral palette of warm timbers, brass and leather has been inspired by the historic architecture of the city, while the River Thames is referenced in the selection of deep green leather and rich blue hues in the upholstery.

Fluid curves and soft lines evidenced in the rounded walls and joinery reference aviation and the form of an aircraft, while a sculptural stair and double-height, terrazzo-clad void joins the two floors to create a social hub.

Split over two floors, the customer journey begins in the reception area on level one, which flows into the feature food and beverage offering. The second level provides an area for customers to work, rest and socialize where the main feature is the cocktail bar, inviting guests to relax beneath a brass chandelier which floats above a round marble counter.

The Qantas London Lounge is open daily to Qantas customers traveling in First and Business class, as well as Qantas Platinum One, Platinum and Gold frequent flyers. It is also open to eligible oneworld, Emerald and Sapphire customers; Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold customers; and Qantas Club members and their guests.
