United confirms ANA cargo joint venture expansion

US-based United Airlines and Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) have confirmed the addition of westbound transpacific routes to their cargo joint venture beginning February 6, as reported in Air Cargo News last week.

Customers shipping goods from the US or Canada to Japan will have access to more destinations, quicker transport times and “enhanced technology to create one-stop shopping for customers”, a United Cargo statement said.

Shipments moving in the other direction have benefited from the same arrangement since the joint venture was launched in July 2016.

The partnership includes 360 non-stop flights a week to 15 destinations, as well as flight and truck connections within North America.
