Ground Crew Member 'Struck by Plane' at Gatwick Airport

Emergency services descended on Gatwick Airport after a ground crew member was reportedly struck by a plane.

Police cars, ambulances and fire engines were pictured around the Russia-bound Rossiya aircraft on Wednesday evening.

A number of people took to social media in confusion as the incident unfolded and passenger jet remained stationary on the tarmac.

A man suffered a "serious lower limb injury", officials said.
