KONRAD GORG: 425KM DECLARED-GOAL WORLD RECORD ON EN B
Konrad Gorg, owner of AirCross, flew 446km from Quixada, Brazil on 1 November 2016, setting a new world record for distance to a declared goal at 425km.
he was flying an EN B wing, his own AirCross U Cruise. He was in the air for 10h40m. See the tracklog here.
We are pretty certain his 446km flight is the longest ever flown on an EN B glider.
Also in the air was Josef Edlinger, who flew 435km on his new Nova Phantom, EN B. Alex Robe also went big – flying 462km on his Ozone Zeno, EN D.
[Update] Eusébio Soares also flew his way into the record books. His flight of 456km on his Niviuk Icepeak 7 sets a new Portuguese national distance record.
Congratulations to those pilots for what was yet another big day in Brazil.
