H+S Aviation, a BBA Aviation Global Engine Services company, has appointed industry expert, Gary Tims, as the manager of its Portsmouth, UK regional turbine centre (RTC). Tims has 30 years of experience in aviation, with the last seven years spent managing a UK FBO engine shop – specialising in Honeywell’s TFE731 engine maintenance and repair.
H+S Aviation has recently announced expanded support capability for TFE731 engine operators in the EMEAI region after gaining OEM authorisation for line maintenance on the Honeywell engine series. Tims will ensure TFE731 operators, as well as other authorised engine fleets, are well-supported in the field and for other line maintenance repairs.
“H+S offers world leading service and support to an established customer base, and I’m really excited to be extending the coverage to encompass Honeywell TFE731 series engines,” Gary Tims, H+S Aviation UK RTC Manager said. “In my prior role, I was the first point of contact for customers and completed field events and major periodic inspections (MPIs) in the shop, so I’m looking forward to getting our team trained up to support our extensive in-region customer base.”
With H+S Aviation’s recent authorisations and sister company Dallas Airmotive’s heavy maintenance authorisation for the TFE731, operators with aircraft powered by the Honeywell TFE731 engine can look to the BBA Aviation Global Engine Services companies’ comprehensive maintenance capabilities [backed by a team they can count on.]
“We welcome Gary to our team to drive the excellent service and support our customers expect,” Mark Stubbs, Chief Commercial Officer of Global Engine Services said. “Operators need assurance their engines are being cared for by the best in the industry, and our goal is to deliver on that need by building our team with people focused on the customer and giving them the tools to support operator requirements.”
