Gulfstream approves two warranty companies in Brazil

US-based Gulfstream Aerospace has added two Brazilian aircraft service companies to its global list of company-authorised warranty facilities.

Gulfstream authorised Líder Aviação and Aero Rio Táxi Aéreo to provide warranty repairs and maintenance services within their regulatory approvals for both large-cabin and mid-size Gulfstream aircraft, including the Gulfstream G650ER, G650, G550 and G280 fleet.

Líder now serves as a Gulfstream-authorised dealer for South America, as well as operates in several locations besides São Paulo. It can also facilitate component sales to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Gulfstream customer support president Derek Zimmerman said: “These additions, further complemented by the new maintenance facilities planned for Palm Beach, Florida, and Savannah, will provide comprehensive and timely support throughout Brazil, especially in the two large cities where most of our operators are located.”

In addition to an operation at São Paulo’s Congonhas Airport, Líder has facilities in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Brasilia.

Aero Rio operates at Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro.

According to Gulfstream, more than half of its 40 aircraft in Brazil is based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and over one-third operate out of Congonhas and Galeão.

The company also provides an additional maintenance option for its Latin American operators with a service centre at Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport.

In the first quarter of next year, Gulfstream Palm Beach is scheduled to start operations in an advanced 10,684m² facility.

Operators will also have an option to visit Savannah, where the company is opening a 18,766m² service centre expansion at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport next month.

Gulfstream noted that nearly 230 aircraft are based in Latin America.
