ATI to host two-day Birmingham conference

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) will be hosting its second conference at the VOX Centre, Resorts World, Birmingham.

Held on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November 2019, the conference will run over two full days, with a dinner and drinks reception on the first evening.

The conference will tackle two main themes: the first day focuses on the technological challenges and opportunities facing the global industry today, while the second day looks to new horizons and disruptive changes in future air transport systems. There will be four breakout sessions each day that will be run in parallel in two rooms. This year we are not asking delegates to sign up for the sessions – both rooms hold up to 220 delegates and each session, along with the plenary sessions will be filmed.

There are two new elements for this year’s conference. ATI is offering free exhibition space for companies that can demonstrate new and innovative ideas for UK aerospace; it particularly wants to hear from smaller companies that could benefit from the platform to reach a wide audience.

The organisation would also like to hear from companies interested in pitching, and it is looking for companies with novel technology or solutions that are open to collaboration. Pitches will be limited to three minutes, followed by a two-minute Q&A. Feedback from assembled experts will be provided after the event.

The ATI will also be showcasing some ATI Programme exhibits and would like to thank Airbus, GE Aviation and Rolls-Royce for their contributions.
