Safran, Outsight partner to develop autonomous solutions

Outsight’s 3D Semantic Camera will be tested on drones, airplanes, other vehicles.

Safran and Outsight are partnering on autonomous mobility technologies and will put Outsight’s 3D Semantic Camera, unveiled in September 2019, on off-road vehicles, drones, and aircraft during taxiing. The 3D Semantic Camera combines software and hardware to provide innovations such as remote material identification with comprehensive real-time 3D data processing.

Outsight solutions allow autonomous vehicles to simultaneously perceive and understand their environment in 3D. These new capabilities are part of Safran's strategy in the automation of vehicles and smart-machines.

Outsight’s engineers are based in Paris, Helsinki, and San Francisco.
