AirIT Announces David Wurtz Joins The Company As Director Of Business Development

AirIT announced Dec. 15, that David Wurtz has joined the company as director of business development – Americas.

Wurtz’s primary role at AirIT will be promoting the company’s airport solutions that include AirIT’s operational, business and passenger processing systems. Additionally, he will be involved in the management of many of AirIT’s airport customers in North America.

Wurtz was most recently director of business development for Kaba Access & Data Systems Americas. In that role, he was responsible for developing business in the transportation market in the United States and Canada that included Automated Passenger Processing and Physical Access Systems. During his time at Kaba, Wurtz secured projects and services with airports and airlines that include McCarran International Airport, Portland International Airport, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and United Airlines, amongst others.

In the past 14 years, Wurtz has held vice president and director-level positions with manufacturers and representatives of access control systems. This experience has positioned him as an accomplished subject matter expert of advanced level, high-security applications as well as the airport common use environment. He is also an active member of several industry associations, including AAAE, ACC, ACI, and IATA where he has been integral participant in the Fast Travel, Passenger Experience, and Common Use Working Groups. Wurtz has earned a BBA in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas.
