The BPU14 START-CASE has been developed for piston-engine aircraft, light turbine aircraft, helicopters, and commercial ground handling applications. Equipped with a high-performance LiFePO4 battery and an integrated charger, the unit provides complete independence from fixed ground power infrastructure.

Delivering a typical output voltage of 28 VDC, the BPU14 is capable of supplying up to 300 A continuously, 420 A for short-duration operation, and pulse currents of up to 720 A for engine starting applications. Depending on the power demand, multiple engine starts can be performed without recharging the battery between operations.

At the heart of the system is a 15 Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery. This advanced battery technology offers outstanding safety, long service life, and maintenance-free operation. Unlike conventional battery systems, LiFePO4 batteries do not generate explosive gases and provide a significantly higher level of operational safety.

The battery is designed for approximately 1,000 charge cycles and features integrated indicators for battery status and charging condition. A dedicated main switch allows safe activation and isolation of the onboard power supply.

The integrated charger supports worldwide input voltages from 100 to 240 VAC, enabling rapid charging virtually anywhere in the world.
