Aerodrome VFR lighting system
Aerodrome VFR lighting system installed in Zanesti, close to Piatra Neamt, Romania
A lighting system for a non-precision approach runway typically includes a series of lights and visual aids that help pilots safely navigate their approach and landing, especially in low visibility conditions.
These lighting systems consist of a combination of runway edge lights, threshold lights, touchdown zone lights, and approach lighting systems. The lights are placed in a specific configuration and color sequence to provide pilots with visual cues that help them determine their altitude, speed, and position relative to the runway.
For non-precision approaches, the lighting system may not be as extensive as it would be for a precision approach, such as an ILS (Instrument Landing System) approach. However, the lighting system still plays a crucial role in helping pilots make a safe landing.
For this project we used:
* Precision Approach Path Indicator units
* Heliport Controller V3
* Vista Runway Edge and Threshold End
